A Tribute to a Lifelong Guide and Mentor: Share Your Heartfelt Messages

We are creating a special tribute page to honor someone who has touched countless lives with their wisdom, dedication, and care. This is more than just a page—it’s a heartfelt mosaic of gratitude and reflection from friends, family, colleagues, students, and anyone whose path crossed with theirs.

Take a moment to share your story—a thank you, a memory, or even a simple acknowledgment of how this extraordinary person has made a difference in your life. Imagine this as one final gathering: a warm dinner, a quiet cup of tea, or a heartfelt conversation with someone who has left an indelible mark on your journey.

Whether he was a mentor who guided you directly, an inspiring figure from afar, or even someone who challenged you in meaningful ways, we welcome your honest reflections. Your words—whether they shine with praise or bring a critical perspective—are all part of the rich legacy this individual leaves behind.

Let us come together to create a tapestry of appreciation and truth, honoring a life of purpose and impact. Thank you for taking part in this tribute and helping to celebrate an extraordinary legacy.

Thanks to Dr Mani and the opportunity to serve in STYC - memorable and pleasant time. Didn't realise back then (early 80s) om how much time/energy/resources, he was investing in the lives of youth - for the love of Tamil language. I cherish the precious moments, making of many friends through meaningful acts than to just while away the time. Dr Mani had time for everyone- there are no greats nor small ones. I follow up on this quality to this day, also my love for Tamil language. Thank You, Dr Mani - you are awesome.

Respectfully,

Dear Prof Mani,

Thank you for your close guidance, unwavering support and kindness. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude and appreciation. Not just me, you have encouraged hundreds of youth who have come forward to volunteer to promote Tamil Language and contribute to the Indian community. Regardless of their educational status, background or differing abilities, you have encouraged them and always highlighted each and everyone’s talents.

You were never like any other leaders. You have changed the lives of many youths including me. Without wanting any leadership roles or name and fame for yourself, you stood steadfast behind all of us.

I guess, TRC Educational Assistance Programme was your greatest contribution and you charted a new direction for many youths…
